We ourselves heavily use mock-ups when making new creative content on Amazon, but this example just didn't fit the bill.
We turned this small, fake-looking, unrealistic representation of B.Rad's protein powder into a heavy-hitting main-image that not only stands out, but that tells a story about the product before it's even gotten a click.
